NBA Playoffs 2021: Cameron Payne exits Game 3 with left ankle injury

With Chris Paul returning to the Phoenix Suns line-up for Game 3, reserve Cameron Payne might not have had received as many minutes as he did in the first two games of the Conference Finals series against the LA Clippers.

But his Game 3 didn't last long as he was forced to head back to the locker room after just 4:19 minutes of game time. With 30 seconds left in the first quarter, Payne rolled his ankle in a scramble for the ball.

He came up limping and then headed back to the locker room. The team confirmed later that he would not return for the rest of the game.

When he left the floor, he logged two points and an assist.
