NBA Playoffs 2020: Anthony Davis yelled 'KOBE' after nailing buzzer-beater, paying tribute to Laker legend Kobe Bryant

As the Los Angeles Lakers sported the black 'Mamba' jerseys in Game 2 against the Denver Nuggets, Anthony Davis had a Kobe-esque game.

Just after the shot, it seemed like he yelled 'KOBE' after he turned around. Postgame, he confirmed that he did indeed pay tribute to the Laker legend, per Lakers' reporter Mike Trudell.

With the shot, Davis became the seventh player in Lakers history to have knocked down a buzzer-beating game-winner in the playoffs.

It's not just the shot. AD was clutch in this game, scoring the last 10 points for the Lakers as the Nuggets made it interesting by coming back from 16 down to the take the lead.

In the second game of his first Conference Finals series, Davis scored 22 of his game-high 31 points in the second half which meant Nikola Jokic's late-game heroics went in vain.

Both big men were responsible for the final 22 points of the game but the Brow's game-winner gave him the final say.

"I want to take those shots," Davis said in his oncourt postgame interview with TNT's Allie LaForce. "It's part of the legacy. I want those shots. I want the big-time plays."
