When the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers on April 4, the Toronto Raptors were locked into the East's No. 2 seed - things had been leaning that way for some time, but it was not until then, with less than a week remaining in the season that it became official.
What was determined on the final night of the regular season is who the second-seeded Raptors will face in the first round of the postseason.
With two days of regular season action remaining, there were four games and six possible scenarios that would result in the Raptors facing either the Magic, Nets or Pistons. Each of the aforementioned teams won out, meaning the Magic would be the East's seventh seed and open the 2019 postseason in Toronto.
In the 2018-19 regular season, the Raptors split four games with the Magic (2-2).
The 2019 NBA playoffs begin on Saturday, April 13.
