NBA Playoffs 2019: Scores, news stats and highlights from Bucks-Pistons and Rockets-Jazz

The NBA Playoffs continue to roll on and Day 10 features a pair of Game 4s and a pair of teams seeking a series sweep.

First, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks look to advance past the first round for the first time since 2001 as they try to close out the Pistons, who saw All-Star Blake Griffin return to the lineup in Game 3.

Later on, James Harden looks to bounce back from an off game as he and the Rockets look to eliminate the Jazz for the second consecutive year.

Houston Rockets vs. Utah Jazz (Houston leads 3-0)

Final: Jazz 107, Rockets 91

A red-hot fourth quarter from Donovan Mitchell sparks the Jazz to outscore the Rockets 31-12 in the fourth quarter and win Game 4. 


 

Mitchell scored 19 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter as the Jazz avoid a sweep and force a Game 5 back in Houston. Ricky Rubio had a playoff career-high 11 assists to go with his 18 points while Jae Crowder finished with 23. 

For the Rockets, all their 12 fourth-quarter points were scored by their backcourt duo of Harden (5) and Paul (7). Harden finished with 30 for the night while Paul had 23 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 steals. The team knocked down 17 three-pointers for the game but not one came in the final period when they needed to answer Mitchell's run. 

End of third quarter: Rockets 79, Jazz 76

The Rockets bounce back in the third period, outscoring the Jazz 32-23 and taking a three-point lead into the final period. 


 

Harden added another 12 to his points tally from halftime. Can the Rockets wrap this one up? 

End of second quarter: Jazz 53, Rockets 47

Crowder (18) and Rubio (15) continued their one-two punch in the second quarter to help the Jazz hold a 12-point lead with 3:32 left in the first half. 


 

However, the Rockets rallied with a 10-4 run to end the half and cut the lead to six. The visitors have three players in double figures at the half - Chris Paul (11), James Harden (13), and PJ Tucker (11).

End of first quarter:  Jazz 32, Rockets 24

Utah puts forth a solid performance in the first quarter led by 14 points from Jae Crowder and 11 points from Ricky Rubio.


 

The Jazz have built an eight-point lead over the Rockets, who were led by six points from both Chris Paul and PJ Tucker.


 

Utah shot 11-for-22 (50%) in the first frame while Houston shot 7-for-18 (38.9%) from the field. The Jazz also forced six turnovers and converted them into 10 points.

Bucks 127, Pistons 104 (Milwaukee wins 4-0)

Giannis Anteotkounpo finishes the game with a playoff career-high of 41 points as Milwaukee outscored Detroit 71-42 in the second half to earn another dominant victory to complete the first round sweep of Detroit.


 

It's Milwaukee's first postseason series win since 2001, a major milestone for the franchise.

End of third quarter:  Bucks 95, Pistons 85

Milwaukee outscores Detroit 39-23 in the third quarter to take its biggest lead of the night into the final frame.

Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to impress as he scores 16 points in the third to bring his total up to 33 points for the game (on 10-for-19 shooting) in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.


Reggie Jackson has 23 points and seven assists for the Pistons while Blake Griffin has 22 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Halftime:  Pistons 62, Bucks 56

Detroit's point guard converts an emphatic put-back dunk in the second quarter's final seconds to bring his total to the night to 20 points.  His play has led the Pistons to a six-point lead as they enter the break.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has filled the stat sheet to lead the way for the Bucks. Milwaukee's MVP candidate has 17 points, seven rebounds and four blocks at the half. His only downfall has been at the free throw line where he is shooting 4-for-8. 


 


End of first quarter:  Pistons 28, Bucks 26

Detroit's down, but not out.

Nine points from Reggie Jackson lead the way for the Pistons, who take a two-point lead into the second quarter.


Giannis Antetokounmpo has six points in the first frame, including this impressive sequence.
