The Toronto Raptors destroyed the Philadelphia 76ers by 36 points in Game 5, the largest margin of victory in the playoffs in franchise history.

It was a close one-point game after the first quarter but the Raptors dominated the rest of the way.

They outscored the 76ers 37-17 in the second quarter to blow the game open and kept the foot on the gas in the second half.

It was a frustrating game for 76ers' All-Star centre Joel Embiid who is battling an upper respiratory infection among other things in this series. He finished with just 13 points and six rebounds with eight turnovers and the rocking Scotiabank Arena crowd let him hear it.

Flashback to the 76ers' Game 3 win over the Raptors where Embiid dominated, going for 33 points and 10 rebounds, taunting Toronto out of the Wells Fargo Center. Following a thunderous windmill dunk that put the exclamation point on that game, Embiid ran around the court flying like an airplane.

Well, The North remembers.

After he checked out of Game 5 for the final time, the Raptors' fans, led by Drake, had their fun in mocking Embiid's celebration from Game 3.

Following the game, Embiid told the media he didn't notice the fans taunting him.

"I didn't pay attention to what the hell they were doing. Good for them. I'm gonna have fun. I'm gonna do that because I know I'm gonna dominate."

In his defence, Embiid is at his best when he's emotionally invested in the game and having fun while doing it. But with the 76ers trailing 3-2 in the series, the Raptors are just one win away from closing out and advancing to the Conference Finals.

Game 6 is in Philadelphia, so the Raptors would have to get it done on the road or otherwise, it'll be back to Toronto for Game 7.

And Embiid was confident that his team will be back in Toronto for Game 7 - he even told Drake "I'll be back" after their Game 5 loss, per Raptors' TV analyst Leo Rautins.

When Embiid was asked if he told Drake that he would see him back in Toronto for Game 7 he kept it simple and honest, "Yes, I did."

They'll have to even the series in Philadelphia in Game 6 before Embiid has to worry about potentially seeing Drake and the Raptors back in Toronto, but you have to respect the confidence.
