It's been a big week for Toronto Blue Jays rising superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

On Friday, April 26, the 20-year-old made his MLB debut, going 1-for-4 from the plate as the Jays earned a 4-2 victory over the Oakland Athletics.

Just one day later, Guerrero was given a warm welcome at Scotiabank Arena as he showed off a custom No. 27 Raptors jersey during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between Toronto and Philadelphia.

The night would only get better.

Following Toronto's 13-point win over Philadelphia in Game 1, Guerrero was given another welcome to the city from none other than Drake, Raptors Global Ambassador and Grammy Award-winning artist.

Guerrero was visibly elated to receive such a simple, yet meaningful message from Drake, who is said to be his favourite musical artist.

As the legend of Guerrero continues to grow, we'll look back at this weekend as a fitting welcome for baseball's next big thing.
