Winning an NBA championship is one thing, but have you truly made it in the league until you've been name-checked by Drake in a song?

For Kawhi Leonard, both of those things could be on the horizon this season following his Game 7 heroics to send the Toronto Raptors into the Eastern Conference Finals, with a buzzer-beating jumper against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Raptors' No. 1 fan took to Instagram shortly after the final buzzer, praising Leonard's performance. And after former Raptor/Drake shoutout recipient Lou "6 Man" Williams commented "this pic hard," Drake took the opportunity to tease his fans with a potential new track, inspired by Leonard's shot.

"Would do a freestyle just to use this as the art 😂," Drake wrote to Williams, leaving his fans to go crazy in the comment section about what might be on the way from the Canadian chart-topper.

It's been a rough year in sports for Drake, as it seems every team he throws his support behind falls short, giving life to the "Drake Curse" ... but not today.

Watching Game 7 from home, Drake was rocking a pair of 76ers shorts, with the only way to reverse the curse being to wear the gear of your opponents.

Genius.

With the Raptors now preparing to take on the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals, if they make it all the way to the NBA Finals, we might get a whole Kawhi Leonard-themed album.
