NBA players take to Twitter in awe of Damian Lillard's heroic 50-point performance

Another day, another fourth-quarter takeover from Damian Lillard!

The Portland Trail Blazers star put on a show on his home floor, leading the Blazers back from a 17-point deficit with six minutes remaining, scoring a season-high 50 points!

He scored 20 of those in the fourth quarter alone, with his 50-piece coming on just 20 shots - the third-fewest field-goal attempts among 50-point games in NBA history, per Elias.

He added 10 assists and knocked down six 3-pointers in the win, going 18-for-18 at the free-throw line, including the final two to give the Blazers the lead with 1.2 seconds remaining.

Lillard is now tied for the second-most 50-point, 10-assist games in NBA history (3), trailing only James Harden (8).

Naturally his NBA peers were blown away with his latest episode of Dame Time, taking to Twitter to applaud the king of crunchtime.

Following the win, Lillard gave an inspiring post-game interview, befitting his epic performance.
