NBA players continue to bring attention to racial injustice following the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who was handcuffed and unarmed as a white Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck for several minutes despite several pleas that he could not breathe.

Over the last couple of weeks, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown were among the NBA players who participated in protests around the United States. Many other NBA players, including LeBron James and Steve Nash, took to social media to further the conversation.
