The Phoenix Suns brought Jamal Crawford in for situations like this and man did he deliver.

With scores tied at 114-114, the veteran pulled up and drained a free-throw line jumper to ice the game and beat the high-flying Milwaukee Bucks.

Lakers win third-straight

The Lakers made it seven wins from thier past eight games, with a scrappy 90-83 home win against the Utah Jazz.


LeBron James had 22 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, taking over down the stretch, scoring nine points in the fourth quarter. Brandon Ingram led them in scoring with 24 points while Lonzo Ball added nine points and 10 rebounds, with the two youngsters playing aggressive all night.

Utah struggled shooting the ball, connecting on just 4-of-23 from the three-point line, finding offence hard to come by, especially after Donovan Mitchell left the game in the second quarter with bruised ribs. He did not return.

Aussie Joe Ingles led the Jazz with 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Alec Burks came off the bench with17 points and five rebounds.

Cavs snap 76ers home unbeaten streak

The Philadelphia 76ers' 10-game home win streak came to an end at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers, losing 121-112.

Collin Sexton and Rodney Hood did the damage for the now 3-14 Cavs, combining for 48 points in the win.

Philly went scoreless for the opening three minutes and soon found themselves trailing 31-23 after the first quarter. They immediately hit back in the second to go into the half tied at 54-54, behind Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler, but Hood and Jordan Clarkson continued to make shots down the stretch to keep the 76ers at arms length.

Clarkson finished with 19 points off the bench, while Hood led them with 25 points and Sexton 23.

Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Jimmy Butler had 22, points, JJ Redick 23 and Ben Simmons finished with 22 points and 10 assists.

Pistons edge Rockets in overtime

Blake Griffin continued his red-hot form, powering the Pistons past the Houston Rockets 116-111 in overtime.

Griffin was key down the stretch, scoring 13 of his team-high 28 points in the fourth quarter and OT, snapping Houston's five-game win streak. Reggie Jackson also stepped up late, scoring 19 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and overtime. 

Houston trailed by as many as 14 points to rally back and force the overtime period, thanks to an impressive third quarter, where they held the Pistons to just 17 points.

Eric Gordon's layup at the end of regulation tied the scores at 98-98 after Girffin hit a three-pointer to put the Pistons up two.

In overtime, Detroit continued to impress on offense with a pair of Griffin dunks extending the lead. Detroit sealed the game at the free throw line, with Jackson burying six in OT. They shot 40 free throws compared to Houston's 21.


James Harden led Houston with 33 points, while Clint Capela finished with 29 points and 21 rebounds.

Free throws seal win for Clippers

In a matchup of two of the Western Conference's best teams, the Los Angeles Clippers held their nerve to edge the Memphis Grizzlies 112-107 in overtime.

Danilo Gallinari buried three free throws at the end of regulation to send the game into OT. Gallinari is shooting a sizzling 95.6% from the line this season, connecting on 87 of 91 attempts.

He finished with  20 points on the night, with, Montrezl Harrell leading the way with 22 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.


The game stayed tight in OT, and the Grizzlies had a chance to tie things with 5.3 seconds left, but Avery Bradley managed to steal the ball from Garret Temple, getting fouled and sinking the two free throws to seal the win.

Today was the third overtime game the Clippers have played this season, winning all three as they now sit tied for top of the Western Conference at 12-6.

Marc Gasol led the Grizzlies with 27 points and 13 rebounds, while rookie Jaren Jackson Jr. added 20 points. Mike Conley scored 19 points and 11 assists and broke the franchise-record for most assists in a quarter, recording 10 in the second frame.
