With most of us still recovering from our Super (Bowl) hangover from Sunday, the NBA has teed up a full 10-game schedule for Monday night with some juicy storyline in all of them.

Now that we're past the halfway point of the season, teams are turning up the heat to an attempt to lock in one of eight playoff spots in their respective conferences.

The trade deadline also looms large on Thursday with teams on the cusp of championship contender status and teams looking to squeeze into the postseason working the phone feverishly looking to make a deadline deal that could change the fortunes of their season for the better.

So much going on the association this week and now more than ever is the time to go out and get NBA League Pass so you don't miss a second of the action.

Here are a couple of games that might pique your interest while you're laying on the couch on Monday night:

Detroit Pistons vs Memphis Grizzlies 8:00 p.m. (NBA League Pass)

If you haven't seen Rookie of the Year favourite Ja Morant play, you've simply been missing out. I get it, there's only so many hours in the day and only so many sports you can consume but take it from me, this guy is must-watch tv.

On the season, Morant is averaging 17.5 points, 7.1 assists shooting 49.1% from the field. He has the Grizzlies — a team that finished 33-49, good for 12th in the tough Western Conference a season ago — sitting pretty in the eighth seed with their sights set on ending a short two-year playoff drought.

Morant's not the only positive for the Grizz this year. Jaren Jackson Jr. continues to progress on the radar in his second season. Canadian Dillon Brooks is enjoying a career-year. His fellow Canadian Brandon Clarke has filled the role of the sixth man perfectly as a rookie and former Raptor Jonas Valanciunas has provided consistent stability in the middle for this young squad.

Memphis is 7-3 in their last 10 games and games like this against the Detroit Pistons are ones that they should be able to win at home — especially if they plan on holding onto that playoff spot with the hard-charging Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs on their heels.

CanCon

Brooks and Clarke aren't the only CanCon available on NBA League Pass on Monday. Montreal native Khem Birch is in Charlotte with his Orlando Magic to take on the Hornets.

A Hornets coaching staff that features two Canadians in former Men's National Team Head Coach Jay Triano and Nate Mitchell.

Over in Cleveland, rookie RJ Barrett hopes to return to practice on Tuesday and possibly make his return to the New York Knicks lineup on Thursday in Orlando. Barrett has been sidelined with a sprained right ankle which has kept him out of action since January 18th.

Opposite the Knicks on Monday will be Tristan Thompson and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Thompson has been reportedly made available by the Cavs ahead of Thursday's trade deadline.

Thompson is in the final year of a five-year $82 million dollar contract, and although he may be viewed as a "rental" player he can provide rebounding and championship experience to a contender looking to add a big.
