Welcome back to Head-to-Head!

In its second year, Head-to-Head returns as a fantasy game that is centred around how many points players score.

Every week, starting Dec. 7 through the remainder of the 2021-22 NBA season, five new matchups will be presented. In each matchup, all you have to do is pick which player you think will score more points in their game. For each correct pick, you earn points. The more points you earn, the more prizes you can receive.

However, there is one new twist this season: Head-to-Head will now keep track of streaks.

Fans with the longest streak (the most consecutive wins) over a specified six-week period can win $5,000. There will be three different six-week streak periods, meaning there is $15,000 total up for grabs over the course of the season!

Winners can also earn a video chat with an NBA All-Star, courtside tickets and more. There are weekly and season-long prizes, with over 190 prizes expected to be handed out this season.

You can find each matchup for Week 6 below.

Head-to-Head Week 6

Here's what you need to know about each matchup...

LaMelo Ball vs. Tobias Harris

Matchup: Hornets vs. 76ers

Date/Time: Wednesday, Jan. 12, 7:00 p.m. ET

Channel: NBA League Pass

Ball averages 19.4 points to Harris' 18.4 points, giving him the slight edge. However, Harris did score 21 points in one of his matchups against the Hornets earlier this year, while Ball has yet to face the 76ers, missing both of their previous matchups on the COVID-19 health and safety protocols list. Harris has two 20-point games in his last five outings, while Ball has one.

Kevin Durant vs. DeMar DeRozan

Matchup: Nets vs. Bulls

Date/Time: Wednesday, Jan. 12, 10:00 p.m. ET

Channel: TSN 1/3

In a matchup between two MVP candidates, Durant's league-leading 29.8 points per game take the advantage over DeRozan's 26.4. Both players have stepped up to the challenge in their two meetings this season, with DeRozan's 29 points edging Durant's 28 in their first matchup, while Durant's 38 points edged DeRozan's 28 in their second matchup. Even with how incredible DeRozan has been this season, it is hard to pick against Durant in any sort of scoring battle.

Stephen Curry vs. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Matchup: Warriors vs. Bucks

Date/Time: Thursday, Jan. 13, 7:30 p.m. ET

Channel: TSN 1/4

In a slugfest between two other MVP candidates, Antetokounmpo's 28.4 points per game outweigh Curry's 26.8 points per game. This is the first meeting between the defending champions and the team with the best record in the league in a battle that could be seen as an NBA Finals preview. Antetokounmpo has been otherworldly as of late, scoring 30-plus points in five of his last six games, including a 43-point outing. Curry has cooled off a bit since his hot start, but he did have four-straight 30-point games two weeks ago, including a 46-point outburst. There's no wrong selection here.

Karl-Anthony Towns vs. Ja Morant

Matchup: Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies

Date/Time: Thursday, Jan. 13, 8:00 p.m. ET

Channel: NBA League Pass, TSN.ca/TSN App

This is the closest matchup on the slate, with Morant's 24.7 points per game edging Towns' 24.5 points per game. Morant has had one explosion and one quiet night against the Timberwolves this season, while Towns has produced solid numbers in both outings against the Grizzlies. Morant went for 33 points in one meeting but only had 11 in the other. Towns went for 25 points in one matchup and 21 in the other. Towns may be the safer pick, but Morant is definitely the more exciting choice.

Scottie Barnes vs. Cade Cunningham

Matchup: Raptors vs. Pistons

Date/Time: Friday, Jan. 14, 7:00 p.m. ET

Channel: TSN 1/4, RDS

A battle between two of the top rookies in the NBA, Cunningham's 15.7 points per game has the advantage over Barnes' 14.7. It was a low-scoring affair between these two in their first meeting, with Barnes' 11 points outscoring Cunningham's 10. However, Cunningham just recently produced a career-high 29 points, while Barnes has been slowing down offensively since the Raptors returned to full strength. Cunningham is probably the smarter choice here, but there's no harm in choosing your fellow Raptor rookie.
