Where to Watch (Tissot)

There is no shortage of talent across the NBA. Case in point? The eight active MVP award winners in the league.

This week's action is headlined by games in which a number of former MVPs go head-to-head. It doesn't stop there, as some of this year's MVP favourites are also in action as they look to strengthen their respective cases on a nightly basis.

It begins on Tuesday when four-time MVP LeBron James and 2017 MVP Russell Westbrook visit 2018 MVP James Harden and the Nets. Later that night, two-time MVP Stephen Curry and the Warriors host a potential future MVP in Luka Doncic.

On Thursday, James, Westbrook and the Lakers continue an Eastern Conference trip with a visit to Philadelphia, where MVP candidate Joel Embiid has been dominant all season. On Saturday, it's Curry against Harden when the Nets head out to The Bay to take on the Warriors and the week closes with reigning MVP Nikola Jokic taking on his predecessor Giannis Antetokounmpo on Sunday.

Those are just some of the biggest games scheduled for the upcoming week, but there are several others you'll want to keep an eye out on.

Monday, Jan. 24

Jazz vs. Suns (9:00 p.m. ET, TSN 3/5): The Suns, owners of the league's best record, enter the week on a six-game win streak, which they'll put on the line when they welcome the Jazz to the Footprint Center. It's the first of four meetings between the Western Conference powers this season, two of which take place this week. With Utah on the second end of a back-to-back, expect Chris Paul, Devin Booker and company to impose their will early and often.

Tuesday, Jan. 25

Mavericks vs. Warriors (10:00 p.m. ET, TSN 2): Two of the league's most talented guards will be in action with the Mavericks' Luka Doncic going head-to-head with the Warriors' Stephen Curry. When the teams met in Dallas on Jan. 5, the Mavericks kept Curry at bay, while Doncic finished with 26 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Curry and the Warriors will look to make that one a distant memory.

Also watch: Lakers vs. Nets (7:30 p.m. ET, League Pass) as James, Westbrook and company continue an Eastern Conference road trip when they take on Harden and the Nets in Brooklyn.

Wednesday, Jan. 26

Bucks vs. Cavaliers (7:00 p.m. ET, TSN App, League Pass): The Cavaliers, one of the biggest surprises of the season so far, enter the week neck-and-neck with the Bucks in the East standings. Cleveland's talented frontcourt of Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley will have its hands full with Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo. It's an opportunity for the Cavs to make another statement.

Also watch: Suns vs. Jazz (10:00 p.m. ET, NBA TV Canada) as the loser of Monday's meeting between the two teams will be looking for revenge when the scene shifts to Salt Lake City.

Thursday, Jan. 27

Lakers vs. 76ers (7:30 p.m. ET, TSN 4): LeBron James has been playing at an MVP level but the Lakers are in search of season-saving answers during an East Coast trip. The 76ers, on the other hand, have been getting wins behind their MVP, Joel Embiid, who has looked nothing short of unstoppable. The potential presence of Anthony Davis could add some intrigue to this one.

Friday, Jan. 28

Jazz vs. Grizzlies (8:00 p.m. ET, TSN App, League Pass): Mike Conley, who will one day have his number retired at FedEx Forum, takes on his heir apparent, Ja Morant. More importantly, the Jazz and Grizzlies are side by side in the West standings and met just last year in the NBA Playoffs. Memphis hasn't backed down from any opponent this year and Friday should be no different.

Also watch: Lakers vs. Hornets (7:30 p.m. ET, SN Now, League Pass) when the Lakers' search for answers continues on the road against LaMelo Ball and a Hornets team that is electric and especially fun at home.

Saturday, Jan. 29

Nets vs. Warriors (8:30 p.m. ET, SN One): It's a road game for Brooklyn, so Kyrie Irving will be back in action when the team visits Curry and the Warriors. With Irving and James Harden potentially going head-to-head with Curry and Klay Thompson, we're set for a great backcourt battle. The Nets will be without Kevin Durant, but they still have an opportunity to earn a statement road victory over a title contender in Golden State.

Sunday, Jan. 30

#GiannisJokic

Nuggets vs. Bucks (7:00 p.m. ET, TSN 5): With Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic in action, the two winners of the last three MVP awards will be accounted for at Fiserv Forum on Sunday night. Based on the level of play shown from both Antetokounmpo and Jokic up to this point in the season, one of the two could very well be hoisting MVP hardware again come springtime. There will be no shortage of elite talent as two presumed All-Star starters go head-to-head.
