The 2018 NBA G League Draft was held on Saturday at the league’s headquarters in New York City. It was the eighth consecutive year that the draft was held in that venue.

The Raptors 905 acquired the rights to three players in the draft. LeRon Black (Illinois), Parker Jackson-Cartwright (Arizona) and Bryson Scott (IPFW) were chosen in the first three rounds by the club. The team forfeited their remaining three selections.

The lone Canadian selected on Saturday was 23-year-old Jabari Craig (Scarborough, Ontario) who went 22nd overall to the Long Island Nets.

Craig averaged 5.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 22 games for Eastern Carolina last season. He entered the 2018 NBA Draft but went undrafted.

Willie Reed was the first overall pick of the draft going to the Salt Lake City Stars. Reed has played in 152 NBA games with a career average of 4.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest. He last played for the Detroit Pistons before being traded to the Chicago Bulls where he was later waived.

Hakim Warrick, who last appeared on an NBA roster in 2013, was selected by the Delaware 87ers. Since 2013, Warrick has played in the CBA, BSL and Australian NBL among other leagues.
