Knicks center Enes Kanter intends to sign his player option for the 2018-19 season, remaining in New York, according to Yahoo Sports.
Kanter's player option is worth $18.6 million. Last year, he averaged 14.1 points and 11.0 rebounds per game in his first season with the Knicks.
Still just 26 years old, Kanter has the talent to become a building block for New York's future alongside Kristaps Porzingis.
Kanter, who has also played for the Jazz and Thunder, could still be traded by the Knicks after signing his option, but that doesn't appear likely.
