The Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly "in the mix" to sign Danny Green, who we ranked as the third-best shooting guard in this summer's free agency class.

The report was made on the official Twitter account of Inside the Green Room, the two-time champion's podcast.

The three teams make a lot of sense for Green. He spent last season with the Raptors, of course, helping them win their first-ever championship. Green started in every game he appeared in with the Raptors and shot a career-best 45.5 percent from the 3-point line during the regular season while just missing out on making an All-Defensive Team.

It's been reported that Green would prefer to wait for Kawhi Leonard to make his decision before making a commitment. If Leonard returns, the Raptors have good reason to bring Green back.

Green would have a similar role on the Mavericks and Lakers, only Dallas is an up-and-coming team while Los Angeles is looking to compete for a title next season. If he doesn't re-sign with the Raptors, Green would have the choice of playing alongside two of the league's best prospects in Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis or two of the league's best players in LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

There's also still a possibility that Leonard could join the Lakers, who are reportedly one of the teams pursuing him.
