NBA Free Agency 2019: Al Horford reportedly agrees to four-year, $109 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers

Horford

Boston Celtics big man Al Horford is making the switch to divisional rivals the Philadelphia 76ers after reportedly agreeing to a four-year, $109 million deal, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal comes following Jimmy Butler's reported sign-and-trade to the Miami Heat, with Josh Richardson heading to Philly in the deal, while Tobias Harris reportedly agreed to a five-year, $180 million contract to return to the 76ers.

Horford declined his $30.1 million player option with the Celtics for next season, paving the way for a long-term deal, with the five-time All-Star set to make $97 million in guaranteed salary, with the remaining $12 million in bonuses tied to championships.

Philly will now roll out a starting unit of Ben Simmons, Richardson, Tobias Harris, Horford and Joel Embiid, giving them increased size and shooting.

In three seasons with the Celtics, Horford averaged 13.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.2 blocks per game, shooting 53.45 percent from the floor and 38.2 percent from the 3-point line.

Players can negotiate agreements with teams on June 30 but contracts can't be officially signed until the new league year begins on July 6.
