Tristan Thompson helped swing momentum in the Cavs favour in the third quarter of Game 3 with an acrobatic and-one finish.
All-Star forward LeBron James found Thompson open in transition, and the centre improvised in mid-air as Warriors forward Kevin Durant contested the layup.
The layup gave the Cavs a one-point lead and helped slow down the momentum of Golden State's third-quarter run.
Thompson finished with eight points and seven rebounds in Game 3, but Cleveland suffered a 110-102 loss.
Golden State leads the series 3-0 and can win its second-consecutive title Friday.
