During media availability between Games 3 and 4, Warriors' head coach Steve Kerr confirmed that Kevin Durant would be out for Game 4.

Game 4 would be KD's eighth-straight game not suiting up, as he continues to rehab the right calf that he injured in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Houston Rockets.

Kerr did, however, confirm that there has been no setback to Durant's injury and he is optimistic about his return to the floor in the Finals.

"I do think he'll play in the series," Kerr told KNBR 680 on Thursday. "I think there's a good chance that he plays in Game 5 or 6."

In Game 3, missing a two-time Finals MVP in KD, an All-Star in Klay Thompson and a key rotation player in Kevon Looney, the Warriors suffered their first home loss in the Finals since Game 7 in 2016.

Among the defending champions' other injury concerns, Kerr confirmed that Thompson will play in Game 4, while Kevon Looney, after initially being ruled out of the series, could reportedly make a return at some point.
