NBA All-Star Game 2020: NBA announces All-Star reserves

On Thursday, the NBA announced the pool of 14 players that will be reserves in the 2020 All-Star Game.

2020 All-Star Reserves
Western Conference Eastern Conference
Rudy Gobert, Jazz Bam Adebayo, Heat
Brandon Ingram, Pelicans Jimmy Butler, Heat
Nikola Jokic, Nuggets Kyle Lowry, Raptors
Damian Lillard, Trail Blazers Khris Middleton, Bucks
Donovan Mitchell, Jazz Domantas Sabonis, Pacers
Chris Paul, Thunder Ben Simmons, 76ers

The NBA's 30 head coaches selected the 14 reserves for this year's game. Each coach voted for seven players in their respective conferences, selecting two guards, three frontcourt players and two other players at either position. Coaches are not permitted to vote for players on their own team.

As the leading vote-getters in their respective conferences, LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will serve as captains in the third-ever NBA All-Star Draft, which will be televised on Thursday, Feb. 6. The captains will first choose from the pool of eight starters before selecting from this pool of 14 All-Star reserves.

In the event that any player is unable to play in the All-Star Game, Commissioner Adam Silver will select a replacement player from the same conference as the player who is being replaced.

The 69th NBA All-Star Game, featuring Team LeBron vs. Team Giannis will take place on Feb. 16, 2020, at the United Center in Chicago, IL.
