The NBA's 50-40-90 club is an informal group of elite players that separate themselves as the league's most efficient shooters.
It requires them to shoot at least 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from beyond the arc and 90 percent from the free-throw line over the course of an entire regular season while surpassing the minimum thresholds to qualify as a league leader in each category.
The incredible shooting accomplishment has been achieved 13 times by nine different players in NBA history. Canadian guard Steve Nash has done it more than anyone else, qualifying four times, including three straight from 2007 to 2010. Nash and fellow Hall of Famer Larry Bird are the only players to have more than one 50-40-90 season.

Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving was the most recent addition to the club, having shot 50-40-90 during the 2020-21 season.

Nash and Curry are only two of the nine players to have 50-40-90 in an MVP season.
Nash did so in 2006, while Curry achieved the feat during his landmark and historic unanimous MVP year in the 2015-16 season when he broke the record for 3-pointers made with 402 for the season.
Irving, the most recent addition, is also one of only four players from the group to shoot 50-40-90 while averaging at least 25 points per game.
