The 2017-18 season was good for LeBron James' NBA 2K rating.

Whereas the 14-time All-Star was rated 97 when NBA 2K18 came out, LeBron will be a 98 when NBA 2K19 is released on Sept. 11, 2018.

Here's how LeBron reacted to his rating:

The bump shouldn't come as a surprise considering LeBron averaged more points, assists, blocks, steals, field goals and 3-pointers per game in 2017-18 than he did the season prior. He also carried the Cleveland Cavaliers to their fourth straight NBA Finals appearance with an incredible postseason run, in which he posted 34.0 points, 9.1 rebounds and 9.0 assists per contest.

LeBron had eight 40-plus point games during that stretch, including a 51-point outing against the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Another difference next season, of course, is that LeBron will be sporting a Los Angeles Lakers jersey, not a Cavaliers one. It's going to take awhile to get used to seeing him in the purple and gold.
