Marc Gasol has 'a little bounce back,' says Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse

Marc Gasol looked like the Marc Gasol of old in Toronto's 140-111 win over the Washington Wizards on Friday.

In only his second game back from injury, Gasol scored a season-high 20 points on 6-for-7 shooting from the perimeter, tying his career-high for 3-pointers made in a game.

Gasol also grabbed six rebounds, dished out five assists, came up with two steals and blocked one shot. The Raptors outscored the Wizards by 26 points in his 28 minutes on the court, giving Gasol the best plus-minus of the game.

Raptors head coach Nick Nurse said following the game that both Gasol and Norman Powell, the latter of whom led the Raptors with a team-high 28 points, look "fresh as daisies" after missing almost a month with injuries. Nurse added that Gasol in particular has "got a little bounce back" after having little-to-no rest in the offseason.

Gasol played well in Toronto's win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, too. In 31 minutes, he finished with 16 points, six assists and five rebounds while tying his season-high at the time of three made 3-pointers.

Gasol has now scored in double figures in eight games this season, two of which have come in the last two games.

The Raptors can only hope that this is the version of Gasol that they'll be getting for the rest of the season.
