Luka Doncic becomes youngest player ever with 30-point, 20-rebound triple-double as Mavs outlast King in OT

Luke Doncic continues to re-write the history books!

The Dallas Mavericks star poured in 34 pints, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists in 43 minutes, powering the Dallas Mavericks to a 114-110 overtime win over the Sacramento Kings.

Doncic shot an efficient 12-of-24 from the field, 2-of-5 from the 3-point line and 8-of-11 at the charity stripe, for his league-leading 16th triple-double of the season.

In the process, he became the 11th player ever to record a 30-20-10 game and the youngest in NBA history to do so, eclipsing Oscar Robertson in 1961 (23 years, 12 days).

With the scores tied at 102-102 in overtime, Doncic gave the Mavs the lead for good, backing down Cory Joseph in the paint, burying the floater with 1:57 remaining. The Mavs scored the next five points to ice the game and secure their first win in Orlando.

"We needed that," Doncic said-post-game. "We played, I think, one of the worst games ever and we won. We didn't play good. We still hang in there, help each other, never give up. I'm proud of the win."

With the win, the Mavericks move to within 2.0 games of the sixth-seed Oklahoma City Thunder. Meanwhile, the Kings' playoff hopes took a dent as they now sit in 12th place in the standings, 3.5 games back of the eighth-seed Memphis Grizzlies.
