Is there a better way to usher in the LeBron James era in Los Angeles than with new uniforms?
The new-look Lakers, who have made five free agent signings this offseason, today unveiled the uniforms they will begin wearing in the 2018-19 season.

The uniforms, which feature the classic rounded collar and Lakers wordmark, evoke the spirit of the 'Showtime'-era teams and the early years of Kobe and Shaq.
Per the official Lakers.com release :
"Unveiled for the 2018-19 season, the new Los Angeles Lakers uniforms bring back an element of the 1980s Showtime Era - updated numbers, which use a vertical drop shadow - along with a rounded neckline. The font effect references the Lakers' storied past, while also positioning a fresh direction for the franchise."
You can see the new set of uniforms in action for the first time when LA opens up preseason play against the Denver Nuggets on Sept. 30.
