The NBA revealed the remaining schedules for each of the 22 teams that will play in Orlando when the season resumes on July 30.
Every team will play eight "seeding games" which will help determine the final order for the postseason. The Lakers currently have a 49-14 record and hold a 5.5-game lead over the LA Clippers for the top spot in the Western Conference.
Here is the schedule for the Lakers:
- July 30 vs Clippers - 9:00 pm ET
- August 1 vs Raptors - 8:30 pm ET
- August 3 vs Jazz - 9:00 pm ET
- August 5 vs Thunder - 6:30 pm ET
- August 6 vs Rockets - 9:00 pm ET
- August 8 vs Pacers - 6:00 pm ET
- August 10 vs Nuggets - 9:00 pm ET
- August 13 vs Kings - TBD
At the conclusion of the seeding games, the seven teams in each conference with the highest combined winning percentages across regular-season games and seeding games will be the first through seventh seeds for the NBA Playoffs for that conference. If the team with the eighth-best combined winning percentage (regular-season games and seeding games) in a conference is more than four games ahead of the team with the ninth-best combined winning percentage in the same conference, then the team with the eighth-best winning percentage would be the eighth playoff seed in that conference.
If the team with the eighth-best combined winning percentage in a conference is four games or fewer ahead of the team with the ninth-best combined winning percentage in the same conference, then those two teams would compete in a play-in tournament to determine the eighth playoff seed in the conference. The play-in tournament will be double elimination for Team 8 and single elimination for Team 9.
The NBA’s standard playoff tiebreaker procedures will be used to break any ties on the basis of winning percentage. Once the 16-team playoff field is set, the NBA Playoffs will proceed in a traditional conference-based format with four rounds and best-of-seven series in each round. The 2020 NBA Finals will end no later than Oct. 13.

The Lakers will be without starting point guard Avery Bradley who has opted out of playing in Florida for personal reasons. Bradley has started in 44 of 49 games he has appeared in this season. Without Bradley, the Lakers could turn to either Alex Caruso or Rajon Rondo to start in his place.
LeBron James is gearing up for a return to the postseason after missing out on the playoffs last year. In 13 previous trips to the playoffs, James has advanced to the NBA Finals nine times and has won three championships. He is the all-time leading scorer in the playoffs with 6,911 points and his 28.9 points per game scoring average ranks fifth in NBA history behind only Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, Jerry West and Kevin Durant.
