Looking ahead to the Los Angeles Lakers' first matchup of the season against Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday, LeBron James said that it would be 'amazing' to have the Pelicans' All-Star on the Lakers.

"That would be amazing, like, duh. That would be incredible," James told ESPN's Dave McMenamin prior to their tough 110-115 road loss to the D'Angelo Russell's Brooklyn Nets.

Davis, currently averaging 28.0 points, 12.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.8 blocks on 50.3% shooting, has so far only been able to lead the Pelicans to a 15-16 record, good for 12th in the Western Conference.

The 25-year-old is having another impressive season and has Laker fans in a frenzy at the idea of joining LeBron James, who even at the age of 33, is averaging 27.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.0 assists on 51.9% shooting.

Davis, who recently signed with the same agent as LeBron, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, is under contract with the New Orleans franchise until 2020, with a player option for the 2020-2021 season.
