Kelly Olynyk averaged a career-high 2.7 assists this season, and although his season is over he's still giving.

Olynyk who has become well known for his now signature man-bun hopped in the barber chair and got rid of it for a great cause.

The 27-year-old Canadian donated his hair to Wigs For Kids - a nonprofit organization that makes and provides wigs for minors who lost their hair due to cancer or other medical conditions. The required length for donation is at least 12 inches - Olynk had plenty to spare.

"Inspired by some of the amazing kids I’ve met over the years at the Boston’s Children’s Hospital, Holtz Children’s Hospital, and elsewhere, I am donating my hair to Wigs For Kids," Olynyk wrote on his Instagram over the weekend.

"Thank you Chrissy for helping me help someone else!"

Olynyk spent four seasons in Boston before signing a four-year 50-million-dollar deal with the Miami Heat last off-season.

In 76 appearance for the Heat, he averaged 11.5 points, 5.7 rebounds in 23.4 minutes.
