Kelly Olynyk cuts man-bun to donate to charity

Kelly Olynyk averaged a career-high 2.7 assists this season, and although his season is over he's still giving.

Olynyk who has become well known for his now signature man-bun hopped in the barber chair and got rid of it for a great cause.

The 27-year-old Canadian donated his hair to Wigs For Kids - a nonprofit organization that makes and provides wigs for minors who lost their hair due to cancer or other medical conditions. The required length for donation is at least 12 inches - Olynk had plenty to spare.

"Inspired by some of the amazing kids I've met over the years at the Boston's Children's Hospital, Holtz Children's Hospital, and elsewhere, I am donating my hair to Wigs For Kids," Olynyk wrote on his Instagram over the weekend.

Olynyk spent four seasons in Boston before signing a four-year 50-million-dollar deal with the Miami Heat last off-season.

In 76 appearance for the Heat, he averaged 11.5 points, 5.7 rebounds in 23.4 minutes.
