Kawhi Leonard's time with the Spurs could be coming to an end. According to NBA.com's David Aldridge, the two-time Defensive Player of the Year wants out of San Antonio.

Leonard, who is a native of Los Angeles, prefers to join the Lakers, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The Celtics, Kings, 76ers and Clippers could also be in play for Leonard if he becomes available in trade talks.

San Antonio selected Leonard with the 15th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. He won a championship with the Spurs in 2014 and was named Finals MVP of the series. The 26-year-old has since developed into a two-time All-Star and a two-time member of the All-NBA First Team. Leonard finished third in MVP voting in 2016-17 as well.

Leonard was considered a frontrunner to win MVP this season, but a quadriceps injury limited him to only nine games. He has career averages of 16.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.7 blocks per game.

Leonard is eligible to sign a five-year, $219 million extension with the Spurs this offseason.
