Karl-Anthony Towns continues to move up the Minnesota Timberwolves' record books.

In the third quarter of Minnesota's matchup with the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday, Towns passed Kevin Love on the franchise's all-time scoring list.

Sam Mitchell, Andrew Wiggins and Kevin Garnett are now the only players to have scored more points in a Timberwolves jersey than the two-time All-Star.

Timberwolves all-time scoring list
Rank Player Points
1 Kevin Garnett 19,201
2 Andrew Wiggins 7,548
3 Sam Mitchell 7,161
4 Karl-Anthony Towns 6,991
5 Kevin Love 6,989
6 Wally Szczerbiak 6,777
7 Doug West 6,216
8 Tony Campbell 4,888

Towns' career average of 22.2 points per game is already the highest in Timberwolves history. According to Basketball Reference, Tony Campbell (20.6) and Al Jefferson (20.1) are the only other players to average 20 points or more during their time with the franchise.

The trio of Garnett (19.8), Wiggins (19.4) and Love (19.2) aren't far behind.

Considering he's 23-years-old, time is on Towns' side as he looks to climb even higher up the team's record books in the coming years. Now in his fourth season, he entered Thursday's contest averaging 24.6 points per game on the season, the second-highest total of his career and the 15-highest mark in the league.

Towns has been particularly dominant as of late - James Harden is the only player with a higher scoring average since All-Star Weekend.

Point totals are accurate as of when Towns passed Love.
