Remembering Kobe

Joel Embiid and Stephen Curry remember Kobe Bryant with custom Under Armour sneakers

On the day of the one-year anniversary of Kobe Bryant's passing, Trae Young paid homage to 'the Black Mamba' by holding up '24' after he nailed a clutch dagger against the LA Clippers.

A day later, when 24 teams took the floor, Under Armour athletes - Joel Embiid and Stephen Curry honoured the Laker legend.

As the Philadelphia 76ers took on the Los Angeles Lakers, arguably the biggest game on Wednesday's slate, Embiid sported a custom Under Armour Embiid One that had a picture of Kobe and Gianna along with their numbers - 8, 24, and 2.

Last year, in reaction to the tragic helicopter crash that killed Bryant along with eight others, Embiid confessed that he started playing basketball after watching Kobe in the 2010 NBA Finals.

Pregame, both teams observed a moment of silence to remember the 5-time NBA Champion.

On the West Coast, former two-time league MVP Stephen Curry honoured his daughters while paying tribute to Kobe and Gianna.

In San Francisco, Curry wasn't the only one. His teammates Kent Bazemore and Damion Lee were also seen sporting the custom Curry 8.
