J.J. Redick reached the 10,000-point milestone for his career in Wednesday's game against the New York Knicks.

Redick went into the game with 9,991 points and reached his mark in the second quarter.

His teammates did not let it go unnoticed either.

Redick reached the milestone in his 793rd game, averaging 12.6 points per game over his 13-year career. He is the 12th Duke player to reach 10,000 points in the NBA per NBA.com's Micah Adams. He also pointed out that the University of North Carolina has 14 players to reach that mark while UCLA has 12 and Kentucky has eight.

So who's the next NBA player to likely reach that milestone?

As of before the tip-off for tonight's games, the Detroit Pistons' Jameer Nelson is 60 points shy at 9,940 points in his 14-year career. Derrick Rose is also inching extremely close with 9,882 points, which he has done in an impressive 523 games over 10 seasons, given all of the injuries he has dealt with.

Eric Gordon will also likely reach that mark this season, as he is at 9,783 points in year 11 of his career. Marvin Williams, Goran Dragic and Trevor Ariza are all among the other players who have recently reached the 10,000-point milestone this season.
