Cavaliers interested in trading for Jimmy Butler, reports say

After a reported seven teams expressed interest in the services of Jimmy Butler, one more emerged on Sunday.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the Cleveland Cavaliers, led by their owner Dan Gilbert, may be interested in bringing in the four-time All-Star.

According to the report, Gilbert was seen having a private discussion with Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor on Friday at the NBA Board of Governors meeting.

The two have had dealings in the past when Kevin Love found his way to Cleveland in exchange for a package that centred around Andrew Wiggins.

Butler has reportedly let Minnesota know that he would like to be traded, and the Timberwolves' owner Taylor would like the team to facilitate his exit.

The Timberwolves will have media day on Monday and begin practicing on Tuesday - Butler has been excused from both.

The Cavaliers now join a reported list that includes: Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, the L.A. Clippers, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Portland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings.
