James Harden injury update: Brooklyn Nets All-Star guard to be re-evaluated in 10 days

The Brooklyn Nets will be without superstar guard James Harden for their next stretch of games.

The team today announced that Harden underwent an MRI that revealed a right hamstring strain that will cause him to miss time. Per the team, Harden's injury will be re-evaluated in approximately 10 days.

Earlier in the week, the hamstring injury held Harden out of two games before he returned to action against the New York Knicks. Against the Knicks, Harden re-aggravated the injury and was limited to four minutes of action before being ruled out for the game.

Since joining the Nets in January, Harden has missed four games due to various ailments, most recently missing the aforementioned pair of games. Harden has emerged as an MVP candidate by posting averages of 25.4 points, 11.0 assists and 8.7 rebounds in 34 appearances.

The Nets, who have remained toward the top of the East standings all season, are 27-7 with Harden in the lineup and 1-3 in the four games that he was sidelined.

While Harden will be out for an undetermined amount of time, the team also announced that Kevin Durant is probable for the team's meeting with the Pelicans after missing the last 22 games with a hamstring injury.
