The G League Ignite development program has kicked off its second season after a successful inaugural year.
In the Ignite's debut season in 2020-21, they saw two prospects drafted in the top-10 in the 2021 NBA Draft in No. 2 overall pick Jalen Green and No. 7 overall pick Jonathan Kuminga.
This year, the Ignite are once again loaded up with potential future NBA prospects, including players like Jaden Hardy, Michael Foster, Dyson Daniels and MarJon Beauchamp, to name a few.
On my preseason 2022 NBA Mock Draft for Sporting News, I had Hardy ranked the highest of the bunch as the No. 4 overall prospect.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard is bursty with elite shot creation skills, flashing an ability to score from all three levels. He's also a capable playmaker, making him one of the most well-rounded offensive threats in his class.
Hardy got out to a tough start in his Ignite campaign, shooting 2-for-15 from the field and 0-for-5 from 3-point range, but he bounced back in his second contest. The 19-year-old went for 24 points, seven rebounds, four steals and two assists in the next game, looking to continue to build his draft stock throughout the season.
I also had Daniels ranked as the 14th-best prospect and Foster as the 24th-best prospect in their class ahead of the start of the season. While Beauchamp didn't crack the first round in my first Mock Draft, the 6-foot-6 wing is already building a strong case as a prospect with an impressive start to the Ignite's season.

When does the G League season start for 2021-22?
- Showcase Cup start date: Nov. 5, 2021
- G League regular season start date: Dec. 27, 2021
- G League regular season end date: April 2, 2022
- G League playoffs start date: April 5, 2022
How to watch G League Ignite games?
There are various ways to catch the G League Ignite's games throughout the season.
Some games will be streamed on NBAGLeague.com, while others will air on ESPN's networks such as ESPN2 or ESPN+. They also have games set to air on NBA TV, but you can catch replays or condensed games on the league's YouTube channel as well.
