Shortly after his return was announced, Curry took to Twitter to celebrate the news:

The two-time MVP has been sidelined since October 30, missing 58 games after breaking the second metacarpal in his left hand.

Curry initially penciled in a March 1 return to action against the Washington Wizards, but after discussions with the Warriors' training staff, it was agreed that he would spend more time scrimmaging and getting reps under his belt before he returned to action.

After spending time with their G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, Curry was officially cleared to suit up.

"He was not thrilled, but Steph is always very rational and easy to speak with," head coach Steve Kerr told reporters. "He put up a little bit of a fight, but also understood why we wanted to take extra precaution so he's OK with it."

The 31-year-old returns to a Warriors team which has struggled all season, holding the league's worst record at 14-48, with Curry only appearing in four games.

In those games, Curry averaged 20.3 points and 6.5 assists per game, shooting 40.9 percent from the field and 24.3 percent from three.
