Golden State Warriors reveal new 'Oakland Forever' City Edition uniform

The Golden State Warriors have released their most recent set of uniforms for the 2020-21 season.

Called "Oakland Forever," the City Edition jerseys look to celebrate the franchise's 47 seasons in Oakland, inspired by the uniforms worn by the team from 1997 to 2010 with a focus on the "We Believe" playoff run in 2007 when the Warriors became the first No. 8 seed to defeat a No. 1 seed in a best-of-seven playoff series with a 4-2 upset over the Dallas Mavericks.

Prior to moving to the Chase Center in San Francisco, Oakland played host for all of the Warriors home games from 1972-96 and 1997-2019.

"Oakland is and forever will be part of this franchise's identity," said Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Welts. "The Oakland Forever campaign, in partnership with Rakuten, will deepen our ties and impact in Oakland through a dedicated focus on community efforts, advancing educational equity, and providing safe access to health and wellness resources."

Partnering with Rakuten, the team's jersey sponsor, the Warriors will also unveil a new outdoor basketball court in Oakland.
