Canada needed a second-half comeback but got the job done against Greece to come away with a 97-91 victory to open the Group Stage portion of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
Andrew Wiggins was fantastic in his first game in a Canada jersey since 2015, going for a game-high 23 points while shooting 56.3 percent from the field. RJ Barrett was quiet in the first half but erupted in the second half to give Canada the edge, scoring 22 points. Nickeil Alexander-Walker's second quarter outburst played a huge role in the victory, finishing with 18 points in the game.

Luguentz Dort forces a Greece turnover and Canada puts it away! Andrew Wiggins led all scorers with 23 points but RJ Barrett was right on his tail with 22. Nickeil Alexander-Walker chipped in 18 points while Dwight Powell was a physical presence inside, adding 12 points and seven boards. Cory Joseph was the floor general that made the wheels turning, dishing out six assists.
For Greece, Konstantinos Mitoglu was rock solid with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Nick Calathes did everything he could to keep his country in the game, going for 12 points and nine assists.
Things are getting interesting. Canada leads 97-91 with 15.3 seconds on the clock, but following a turnover by RJ Barrett, Greece has possession.
Greece isn't going down without a fight. Greece has cut Canada's lead to just five points, trailing 91-86 with 2:14 remaining in the game.
Canada is starting to get comfortable out there, leading Greece by seven at 83-76 with 6:39 to play. RJ Barrett's offensive barrage has continued, up to 17 points on the night. Dwight Powell is up to 10 points to go with six boards, joining Barrett, Andrew Wiggins (19) and Nickeil Alexander-Walker (18) in double figures scoring.

End of third quarter: Canada 74, Greece 71
Canada made major adjustments from the first half, holding Greece to zero 3-pointers in the third quarter to re-take the lead heading into the fourth quarter. Andrew Wiggins' 19 points and Nickeil Alexander-Walker's 18 points lead the way for Canada, but RJ Barrett's seven points in the frame added a boost to his team's offence.

Canada has taken the lead! A 3-pointer from Andrew Wiggins gives Canada a 67-65 lead over Greece with 3:21 to play in the third quarter. Wiggins is leading the charge offensively with 17 points for his country.
Halftime: Greece 50, Canada 46
Greece leads Canada by four heading into the half. It has been a team effort for Greece as six different players have five or more points. Konstantinos Mitoglou is the team's leading scorer with seven points, adding six rebounds to the box score.
For Canada, Nickeil Alexander-Walker's 14 points is giving the country a fighting chance. He is shooting 5-for-7 from the field and 2-for-4 from beyond the arc. Andrew Wiggins has also made his impact felt, scoring nine points in the frame. Canada will have to tighten up the screws defensively if they're going to make a second-half comeback.

Canada is charging back! A Luguentz Dort 3-pointer brings Canada within two, trailing Greece 48-46 with 31 seconds to play in the half. The 3-ball was Dort's first shot attempt of the game.
Greece has weathered Nickeil Alexander-Walker's run to start the quarter, leading Canada 41-35 with 5:03 remaining in the half. In the first quarter, it was their 3-point shooting. In the second quarter, it's been an aggressive interior presence.

3-point shooting has been the difference in this one so far as Greece has knocked down its perimeter shots in the first frame to take a 23-19 lead into the second quarter.
