On Saturday, two games were played in the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup to determine which teams would finish in places 5-8.

First up was USA vs. Poland, followed by Serbia vs. Czech Republic.

If you missed any of the action, check below for scores, stats and highlights.

USA 87, Poland 74

It was a balanced effort for Team USA, as five players scored in double figures.

Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell led the way with 16 points while also dishing out 10 assists. Following him: Brooklyn Nets guard Joe Harris with 14 points, Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton with 13, San Antonio Spurs guard Derrick White with 12 and Sacramento Kings forward Harrison Barnes with 10.

Team USA caught fire from the perimeter in their win, connecting on 12 of their 25 3-point attempts. Mitchell was a perfect 4-for-4 while Harris and Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown each knocked down a couple.

Indiana Pacers centre Myles Turner only scored seven points against Poland, but he made his presence felt with a game-high four blocks.

Jayson Tatum (ankle), Marcus Smart (calf) and Kemba Walker (neck) didn't play due to injury.

With the win, Team USA finishes the World Cup in seventh place. Poland, which was led by Mateusz Ponitka (18 points) and Adam Waczynski (17 points) against the USA, finishes in eighth.

Serbia 90, Czech Republic 81

The Czech Republic led by nine points at halftime, but Serbia found its groove in the second half to finish the World Cup in fifth place.

Kings guard Bogdan Bogdanovic once again dominated, wrapping his tournament up with a 31-point showing, doing so on 7-for-12 shooting from the 3-point line.

In true Nikola Jokic fashion, the Denver Nuggets centre did a little bit of everything in Serbia's win with seven points, 14 rebounds, seven assists and one steal.

Chicago Bulls guard Tomas Satoransky had another solid showing for the Czech Republic to the tune of 13 points and six assists, but it wasn't enough.
