Giannis Antetokounmpo's journey from Greece to the NBA is something straight out of a movie and now the 2-time MVPs story is getting the Hollywood treatment.

The Milwaukee Bucks star sent out a casting call on Twitter, looking for young actors to play himself and brother Thanasis for the upcoming Disney film.

"Disney is making a movie based on my family’s story and they are searching for actors to play me and my brother, Thanasis, in our younger days," Giannis wrote. "No experience necessary! It helps if you resemble the handsome boys pictured below and have some basketball experience. SPREAD THE WORD!"

The film, set for the Disney+ streaming service titled "Greek Freak," recounts the family's inspiring journey from undocumented Nigerian immigrants in Greece where Antetokounmpo and his brothers sold watches and wallets on the street, before his meteoric rise to NBA superstardom.

Antetokounmpo went from an unknown prospect selected with the No. 15 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft to the NBA's Most Improved Player and now a two-time Most Valuable Player and one of the most recognisable faces in sports around the world.

While there hasn't been too much information about the film revealed just yet, the casting site revealed this short description of the film:

The story of NBA players GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO and his brother THANASIS. This story recounts their rise, with the help of their family, from undocumented Nigerian immigrants, living in Greece to basketball superstars in America.

Interested actors can submit their information and audition tapes here.

No date has been set for the film’s release.
