Thon Maker was the hero in Atlanta on Friday, knocking down the late go-ahead 3-pointer to give the Detroit Pistons a 125-122 win over the Hawks.

With 17.1 seconds remaining, Reggie Jackson went baseline and found an open Maker in the corner, who pumpfaked Taurean Prince before knocking down the triple.

Maker finished with nine points, three rebounds and two steals, while Reggie Jackson scored a season-high 32 points. Andre Drummond added 26 point, 21 rebounds and five steals, dominating inside with Blake Griffin getting ejected in the third quarter.

Griffin was awarded his second technical of the game for taunting the Hawks' bench after draining a 3-pointer. He picked up his first technical after a brief altercation with Dewayne Dedmon. The All-Star finished with 15 points on the night.

Drummond tied things up at 122-122, knocking down a pair of free throws, before Maker put Detroit up three. Atlanta had two chances to tie the game up on the next possession, with Vince Carter and Trae Young both missing their 3-point attempts.

Young led the way for the Hawks with 30 points, 10 assists and the play of the game, with this slick move to set up Dedmon for the jam:

Six Hawks players scored in double figures on the night, with John Collins adding 19 points and six rebounds, while Carter chipped in 16 off the bench.
