Toronto Raptors backup guard Delon Wright will make his season debut against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, per Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun.
Nurse said he will play Norm Powell tonight even with Delon Wright back. Said it's his job to make big rotation work. Too many useful players isn't something a coach will complain about.- Ryan Wolstat (@WolstatSun) October 24, 2018
Wright is coming off of a season in which he established himself as a key contributor on one of the league's best second units with averages of 8.0 points, 2.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game. He missed Toronto's first four games of this season after suffering an adductor strain in a preseason matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.
Having not signed an extension with the Raptors before Oct. 15, Wright will be a restricted free agent in the summer of 2019.
