A date has been set for a public memorial service for Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant, both of whom were among the nine individuals who passed away in a tragic helicopter accident last month.

As Vanessa Bryant announced on Instagram on Friday, a celebration of life will be held at the STAPLES Center on the morning of Feb. 24, 2020 or 2/24/20. The month (two) represents Gianna's jersey number while the day (24) represents Bryant's jersey number in the second half of his NBA career and the year (20) represents how many years he was with the Lakers.

Gianna's jersey was retired by Harbor Day School in Corona Del Mar, California, earlier this week.

According to ESPN, the date was finalized with "planning and coordination from the City of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Police Department and the LA Clippers."

The Clippers have a game against the Memphis Grizzlies at the STAPLES Center the same day as the memorial, although tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. local time.
