The Philadelphia 76ers could be without starting guard Danny Green for some time.

In the team's Game 3 win over the Atlanta Hawks, Green exited early with a right calf strain and did not return.

Danny Green's injury timeline

Green left Game 3 against the Hawks with 8:15 remaining in the first quarter.

The veteran appeared to suffer the injury when defending a pick-and-roll between Bogdan Bogdanovic and Clint Capela.

As noted by ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Green returned to the bench in the second half wearing a boot on his right leg.

Danny Green's injury history

Green appeared in 69 of a possible 72 games during the regular season. The three games he missed were because of left hip soreness.

How long will Danny Green be out?

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Green's injury is expected to sideline him for two-to-three weeks.

In the regular season, Green averaged 9.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game on 40.5 percent shooting from 3-point range. Through eight games in the playoffs, he's averaging 7.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals on 37.8 percent shooting from 3-point range.
