Chris Boucher of the Raptors 905 has been named NBA G League Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year.

Boucher's 27.2 points per game ranked fourth in the league while his league-leading 4.1 blocks per game ranked as the third-most in a single season in G League history. He is the first player in G League history to win both awards in the same season, a feata that's only been accomplished twice in the NBA (Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon).

Boucher's top statistical performance of the season came back on December 12 against OKC when he finished with a franchise-record 47 points, eight rebounds and seven blocks.

The Montreal native played in 28 of the team's 50 games and also appeared in 26 games for the Toronto Raptors.
This is the second straight season that the G League MVP has come from the Raptors 905 after Lorenzo Brown won it in 2017-18.
