Nearly two months after scoring a career-high 48 points in a win over the Boston Celtics, Jamal Murray (Kitchener, Ont.) is doing it again.

The Nuggets' 21-year-old guard nearly eclipsed his best mark as he erupted for 46 points in the team's four-point road win over the Suns. More impressive than the scoring figure itself is the way in which he got it – Murray finished the night shooting 16-for-24 (66.7 percent) from the field and 9-for-11 (81.8 percent) from 3-point range.

Murray's nine made 3-pointers are a career-best, and the most made by a Canadian since Steve Nash sank eight 3-pointers in the same arena on March 31, 2008.

In addition to a big scoring night, the third-year guard finished the night with eight assists and six assists. Denver needed contributions from across the board as the close win snapped the team's four-game road losing streak.

The Kitchener native is having a career season, averaging 18.6 points, 4.9 assists and 4.6 rebounds through 34 games. His play has helped keep the Nuggets atop the Western Conference standings despite dealing with a myriad of injuries to key players.

Denver will continue to lean on Murray as its three-game slate in the upcoming week consists of a home game against New York Tuesday, a visit to Sacramento Thursday and a meeting with Charlotte at home Saturday.
