Australian Boomers vs. Team USA: Live score, updates, highlights and more

The Australian Boomers picked up another win, using a big second half to defeat Team USA 91-83.

Patty Mills was once again the star for Australia, finishing with 22 points and four assists.

-What a win for Australia! They close out the game strong to defeat Team USA 91-83!

-Top scorers for Australia were Mills with 22, Ingles 17 and Thybulle 12.

-Top scorers for Team USA were Lillard 22, Durant 17 and Beal 12.

-Fourth quarter Patty Mills is back! Mills first draws contact on Durant to get to the free-throw line, then he drives by Durant for a lay-up before then finding Thybulle under the basket for an open lay-up. Mills has 19 points and Australia lead 86-82 with 3:14 to play.

-KD blocked by Thybulle!

-KD is cooking now. He's on fire from the outside as he hits another triple and it's 80-79 Australia with five mintues to play! Durant has 16 points including four 3-point makes.

-Australia hold on to a 75-70 lead with 7:03 to play in Las Vegas. It's all set up for a fun finish!

-Ingles finds Reath slipping to the basket for two, then Beal quickly responds with a mid range jumper. Australia lead 71-68 with 8:18 to play.

End of the third: Australia 69, Team USA 64

-The Goulding bomb completes a 19-6 run to end the period for the Boomers. The Melbourne United star has 11 points off the bench on 3-for-5 shooting.

-GOULDING BURIES A DEEEEPP THREE AT THE BUZZER!

-The game of runs continues with triples to Chris Goulding and Duop Reath bringing the Boomers right back into it. Joe Ingles draws contact on Bam Adebayo and puts Australia in front 64-62 with 1:00 to play in the third period.

-Australia just has no answer for Lillard, who continues to score timely buckets to keep Australia at arms length. Lillard is up to 22 points as Team USA lead 58-52 with 4:38 to play in the third quarter.

-Thybulle now has 10 points on 4-for-4 shooting to go with two steals and a block.

-Not for long, as Kevin Durant buries his second triple of the third!

-Matisse Thybulle is going to work defensively for Australia with a steal and a big block. Thybulle has made an incredibly impressive start to his Boomers career. The deficit is back to 49-45 with 7:00 to play in the third.

-The second half is under way. Can Australia fight their way back into this one?

Halftime: Australia 37, Team USA 46

-Lillard leads all scorers on the floor with 16 points on 4-for-6 shooting from long range, while Mills leads Australia with 12 points on 6-for-12 from the floor.

-Mills puts the moves on Draymond Green before burying a deep two at the halftime buzzer to cut it to single digits.

-A deeeepppp triple for Lillard and the margin has blown out to 11 in the final minute of the half.

-Two more turnovers for the Boomers, one for Dellavedova and Landale on poor passes and it's been a tough second period for Australia.

-Six turnovers in the first half for Australia, who have managed just nine points in the period. Outside of Mills, the Boomers have had little success penetrating the Team USA defence to generate good looks.

-Beal comin' through with the cut and jam! Team USA have opened up a 39-33 lead with 2:28 left in the half.

-Scoring is hard to come by to start the second quarter. Both teams are working hard defensively to force some difficult shots. Team USA lead 29-26 at the 7:02 mark of the second quarter.

-Aron Baynes is yet to return to the floor for the Australians after appearing to bang knees with Beal in the first quarter.

End of the first: Australia 24 - Team USA 27

-Keldon Johnson misses an attempt at the first quarter buzzer but it's Team USA who take a 27-24 lead through one quarter.

-Lillard (11) and Ingles (9) are the leading scorers on the floor in what was a fast paced first quarter.

-First quarter Dame Time?! Lillard is scorching hot now as Team USA make an impressive run and take a 22-17 lead with 2:53 left in the first. Lillard has 11 points after back-to-back baskets with a hand in his face.

-Joe Ingles is ON FIRE! Ingles is 3-for-3 from long range and the Boomers lead 11-7 with 6:11 to play in the first quarter.

-There is some concern heading into the timeout with Aron Baynes looking hobbled after a heavy collision with Bradley Beal.

-Patty Mills gets the scoring underway with a drive to the basket and then Damian Lillard counters with a triple.
