Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins suspended 25 games

The NBA announced on Tuesday that John Collins has been suspended 25 games for violating the terms fo the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program by testing positive for Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2 (GHRP-2).

In his third year with the Atlanta Hawks, Collins is averaging 17.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game and is the team's second-leading scorer behind guard Trae Young.

According to Bobby Marks of ESPN, the 25-game suspension will cost him $610,582. Collins is the third player to be suspended 25 games for violating the Anti-Drug Policy, joining Wilson Chandler of the Brooklyn Nets and Deandre Ayton of the Phoenix Suns.

Collins will begin his suspension on Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs. Entering Tuesday's game, the Hawks are in the midst of a three-game losing streak after starting the season 2-0.
