Aron Baynes and Devin Booker combine to power Phoenix Suns to big win over Golden State Warriors

The Phoenix Suns continue their impressive start to the season, with an emphatic 121-110 win over the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center, thanks to big performances from Aron Baynes and Devin Booker.

Baynes turned in his best performance in a Suns jersey, stuffing the stat sheet with 24 points, 13 rebounds, a career-high seven assists and three blocks in just 28 minutes, shooting 9-of-17 from the field and 2-of-8 from the three-point line. Meanwhile, Booker added 31 points, five assists and four rebounds on the night.

The Suns stunned the Warriors from the jump racing out to a 43-14 lead after the first quarter, which included a monster 30-1 run, with Baynes scoring 10 points in the opening 12 minutes.

They extended the lead to as many as 34 points in the second quarter, before coasting home for their third win of the season and first win on the road.

Golden State trimmed the lead to 110-99 with 4:03 remaining in the fourth quarter, but that was as close as they got.

The Suns shot 45.8 percent from the field and 15-of-36 (41.7 percent) from the three-point line, with Booker connecting on 6-of-10 from beyond the arc.

To make matters worse for the Warriors, point guard Steph Curry left the game with a broken left hand after a collision under the basket with Baynes midway through the third quarter.

"Feel terrible for what happened to Steph," Baynes said post-game, per The Athletic's Gina Mizell . "It's unfortunate. You never want to see someone go down and get hurt, let alone be a part of it. Best wishes to him and hope he has a speedy recovery."

Baynes has enjoyed an impressive start to life in Phoenix, averaging 14.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, while shooting 58 percent from the field and 42 percent from the three-point line.
