Report: Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo to undergo precautionary MRI on left knee

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will undergo a precautionary MRI after tweaking his left knee in the second half of their loss to the, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Antetokounmpo took a hard fall on a drive to the basket, colliding with Lakers guard Avery Bradley, with his leg appearing to bend awkwardly as he came down. He stayed down momentarily, before returning to his feet and was able to play through it.

The reigning MVP remained in the game, recording 32 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists in the 113-103 loss.

Post-game, Antetokounmpo said his knee was "good" and was seen wearing a compression sleeve over his left leg and was limping in the locker room.

The 25-year-old has appeared in 57 of the Bucks' 63 games through the regular season and is currently averaging the fewest minutes per game since his rookie season, playing just 30.9 minutes a night.

While the MRI is only precautionary, with the Bucks locking up a playoff berth and currently sitting 8.5 games clear at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, a cautious approach makes sense as they prepare for a deep playoff run in the coming months.
